Keynote Speakers

Purchase College is thrilled to welcome Dr. Nathalie Virgintino of SUNY-Concordia and Dr. Kate Hanzalik of Syracuse University as the Keynote Speakers for the 2019 Conference:

NathalieVDr. Nathalie Virgintino graduated from Concordia as a Fellow with a B.A. in English in 2011. She completed her M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Victorian literature at CUNY Graduate Center in 2013. She continued her graduate work in Fall 2013 as a Fellow at the Institute for Writing Studies at St. John’s University where she completed her Ph.D. in Composition Rhetoric in 2016. She is an Assistant Professor of English and Writing Center Director at Concordia College New York.

hanzalik-kateDr. Kate Hanzalik is an assistant teaching professor in the Department of Writing Studies, Rhetoric, and Composition at Syracuse University. Her work about electracy and art-based writing has appeared in journals such as Computers and Composition Online, Textshop Experiments, Itineration, and Journal of Writing in Creative Practice.
